04/30/24 — Dr. Xiaomei Jiang is spearheading a research study focused on enhancing spintronic devices made from a new class of semiconductors, aiming to contribute significant advancements to data storage and quantum computing.

Dr. Maksym Bobrovskyy awarded NIH grant to pursue research related to Staphylococcus aureus, a leading cause of life-threatening skin infections

04/26/24 — Dr. Maksym Brobrovskyy, assistant professor in the Department of Molecular Biosciences, was awarded a grant from the National Institutes of Health to continue his research related to Staphylococcus aureus Type VII Secretion System assembly and regulation.

Interdisciplinary CAS team helps identify new urban tree canopy locations in Tampa

04/26/24 — Dr. Shawn Landry and Dr. Rebecca Zarger are two USF College of Arts and Sciences faculty contributing to the City of Tampa’s tree canopy study. Landry and Zarger are tasked with identifying specific tree planting locations throughout the city and conducting outreach with residents in priority locations.
